Tuesday Night Pottery Nov.-Dec.

This is a good night for the first time potter or new to studio potters along with our returning Artyard Pottery students. The first 1/2 hour practice time for returning students while the beginner wheel demos are conducted for newer students. Then we will work as a small group or individuals using basic techniques & the potters wheel with demonstrations. Learn from a potter with over 35 years teaching experience.

As a New AYS potter you will learn threw demos on bowls, mugs, vases and more wheel work. We will work as a small group creating clay art objects and pots using the potter’s wheel and basic techniques, some slab construction. The group will have wheel time and demonstrations in beginning of class for new students. Tuesday potters and beginners will also explore 8 of our studio’s Stoneware Glazing to finish your pottery creations. (New Student all inclusive class & studio materials) On average you can expect to make 6 pots or more out of 18-20lbs stone ware clay. As a new student all fees are included when you register for the Class. 

Our Returning students will have additional demo time in their pottery class which includes class time, personal shelf, tools, glazes, and firings (firing fees may occur after 10 items) . Our returning students can select a clay type, a 25 lb. bag that can be purchased for a fee. Please plan to attend all 6 weeks as pottery wheel pots are a progression.

** Pottery process and studio’s scheduling dose not allow for makeups for missed classes. We are a small business pottery studio and we greatly appreciate your understanding. We teach quality pottery construction and craftsmanship ( additional firing fees may occur after 10 items produced)
